Smoother lines, without losing your expression
Neurotoxin treatments relax the specific muscles that fold the skin, softening the lines you already have and slowing the ones forming underneath. Placed well, you look rested rather than treated — you still move your face.

How neurotoxins work
Lines on the forehead, between the brows, and at the corners of the eyes are made by muscles folding the skin in the same place thousands of times. Neurotoxin blocks the nerve signal to those specific muscles, so they relax and the skin above them stops creasing.
The lines you already have soften over the following days. Just as usefully, the ones that haven’t set yet stop deepening — which is why many patients start earlier and treat preventatively.
- Smooths existing fine lines and wrinkles
- Helps reduce the development and deepening of dynamic lines
- Quick, non-invasive, and predictable
- Preserves natural movement when placed well
Neurotoxin administered by a licensed medical provider at our Brookhaven clinic.
What the visit looks like
Start to finish, including the aftercare that actually matters.
Prep
- We cleanse the treatment areas
- We watch how your face moves and mark the muscles
- Topical numbing if you want it
Treatment
- Micro-injections into the targeted muscle groups
- Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin, chosen with you
- Usually finished inside 15 minutes
Aftercare
- For 4 hours: no touching or massaging, no exercise or alcohol
- For 24 hours: avoid heat — saunas, hot showers
- Mild redness, swelling, or headache is normal and passes quickly
What you’ll feel: a quick pinch at each injection site. Most people find it very manageable.
Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin
All three block the same nerve signal. They differ in how quickly they take hold, how far they spread, and what else is in the formulation.
Botox®
Made by Allergan and the first of the three to gain FDA approval. Twenty years in aesthetics and the most widely studied of the group.
- Approved for frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines
- Over 16 years of published research
- The default choice for precise, targeted areas
Dysport®
Produced by Galderma, FDA-approved in 2009. May have a slightly different onset and diffusion profile to the others.
- Onset and diffusion differ slightly from Botox
- Often selected for larger areas such as the forehead
- Duration comparable to Botox
Xeomin®
Made by Merz. Contains no accessory proteins, and may be selected based on your provider’s assessment and your treatment goals.
- No accessory proteins in the formulation
- May be selected based on your provider’s assessment
- Works the same way at the nerve

What you are looking at
Both frames are the same patient making the same expression, taken before treatment and again once the neurotoxin had taken full effect at around two weeks.
Notice that the brows still move and the face still expresses. That is the aim — softening the lines the muscle makes, not freezing the muscle.
What neurotoxin treats
Forehead lines, crow’s feet, and frown lines. Manufacturer clinical photography, shown before treatment and thirty days after. Individual results vary.

Frequently asked questions
Not sure which product suits you? Call or text (470) 226-2390 and we’ll talk it through.
How long do results last?
Typically three to four months, depending on the product, the area treated, and how strong the muscle is. Repeat treatment before the movement fully returns and the lines tend to stay softer over time.
Is the treatment painful?
Most people feel only a quick pinch. We use ultra-fine needles, and numbing is available if you would prefer it.
Can I combine it with other treatments?
Yes. Neurotoxin pairs well with filler, lasers, and peels. Filler restores volume, neurotoxin relaxes movement — they solve different problems and are often planned together.
Are there any side effects?
Temporary redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites, usually settling within a day or two. Contact us if you notice unusual pain, vision changes, or muscle weakness.
When will I see results?
Movement starts to soften around day three, with the full result at about two weeks. We are happy to review you at that point.
Ready for your neurotoxin treatment?
