How Much is Dermaplaning?
If you have concerns about dull, uneven skin, Balanced Aesthetics Medspa has an answer for you. Dermaplaning provides clear, glowing skin with no discomfort and immediate results. You will see brighter skin with a smoother texture after only one treatment.
What is Dermaplaning?
Skin cells rejuvenate from the deeper layers of skin and make their way to the surface. The layers of skin visible on the surface are the oldest and most damaged. These lifeless-looking cells lead to a dull appearance and show signs of aging and sun damage. Dermaplaning gently removes these dead skin cells. It also removes other debris and fine “peach fuzz” hairs.
How Does Dermaplaning Work?
Your Balanced Aesthetics Medspa aesthetician uses a sterile blade to remove dead skin cells and pore-clogging debris. By holding the blade at a 45-degree angle, they maximize the effectiveness of the treatment and protect your skin. With the older layer of skin cells gone, new and healthier skin cells become visible. These cells have a more youthful glow and fewer signs of aging.
How Much is Dermaplaning?
Pricing for dermaplaning can differ between providers, locations, and the experience of your aesthetician. According to Aedit, the average cost of dermaplaning is $125. Prices can range from $75 to $250. Dermaplaning requires skill and experience to achieve the best results, so pricing should only be one factor in your choice of providers.
Balanced Aesthetics Medspa only offers dermaplaning as a complement to other facial services. Members can add dermaplaning to an existing facial for $50, and nonmembers can add the treatment for $75.
Benefits of Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning has immediate benefits for the skin, and with repeated sessions, you can start to see your results become even more noticeable.
- Brighter skin
- Smaller pores
- Improvements in lines and wrinkles
- Diminished acne scars
- More even makeup application
- Better skincare product results
Dermaplaning reveals new, vibrant skin cells that can benefit from facial skincare treatments much more than the older, more damaged ones. These skin cells absorb products better and respond with better results.
Is There Any Downtime With Dermaplaning?
You will not have any downtime with dermaplaning. We recommend that you avoid touching your face for four to six hours. We also suggest you wait 24-48 hours after treatment before applying makeup. You may notice some minor redness, but this will disappear within a day or two.
Am I a Good Candidate for Dermaplaning?
Most people make good candidates for dermaplaning. This non-invasive treatment removes only dead skin cells and other debris, so the younger layers of skin stay healthy and vibrant. If you have an acne breakout or flare-up of another skin condition, you may need to wait until this resolves.
